While the sunny steep slopes of the Terrassenmoselle provide a beautiful landscape, a special climate and a multi-faceted minerality, they mean hard work under difficult conditions for winemakers.

Our young winemaker Michael Oster is the 15th generation to run the Walter J. Oster winery and passionately combines tradition and modernity. Many great experiences outside the region enabled him to think outside the box and be inspired by trends and topics in the rest of the world - he now brings these with his own ideas into the family winery with personality. The climate, the region and the geographical location are one thing, but the influence of people is very crucial to the final result in the bottle. Experience, passion, creativity and personality play a particularly important role here, making the wine stand out from the crowd and become something special.
